MK5 Second. NOTE:

1. Staffs and MK 5 1st Gears are not interchangeable. 2. MK5 2nd gears must be shortened .040 to use in Staffs. 3. MK5 top gears can be used in Staffs Atlantic with no modification. 4. 9310 Steel Gears suitable for Atlantic. 5. 8620 Steel Gears suitable up to 160hp. 6. Suitable for both Staffs Atlantic and MK5. TIPS FOR STAFFS: 1. Assemble Layshaft and Pinion Shaft nuts with a drop of locktite to prevent loosening. Torque 115 ft-lb. 2. Tighten the pinion bearing nut to 180 ft-lb. during each gear change. 3. Oil Quantities for a dry gearbox: Road course- 2 quarts, Non-pump gearbox; 1.5 quarts, Gearbox with oil pump. Oval- 3 quarts, Non-pump gearbox; 2.0 quarts, Gearbox with oil pump.
